We are thrilled to announce the return of our exclusive members-only opportunity, the 2025 Director Shadowing Program: Commercial & Branded Content. This program, created by WIFVNE in 2022 in collaboration with Clark Ave Productions and developed in partnership with our business partners, Element and Talamas, offers emerging directors and professionals from related fields a unique opportunity to gain immersive, hands-on experience in the world of branded content.

Program Highlights:

• Shadow a professional director during the production of a commercial or branded project

• Participate in client meetings, creative sessions, casting, locations, and shoot days 

• Engage in pre-shoot virtual meetings and on-set observations

• Build relationships with industry professionals, crew, and clients

• Enhance your understanding of the directing process in client-driven projects

• Receive a certificate of completion and access to future shadowing/fellowship opportunities

Eligibility for Applicants:

• Current WIFVNE member for at least 12 months

• 21 years or older

• From an underrepresented community (Women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Neurodivergent, or persons with disabilities)

• One of the following: 

• • On-set experience in any production role

  • Agency or production company experience as PA, PC, PM, or Producer

Program Details:

• Shoot Dates: June 16-18, 2025

• Virtual meetings ahead of the shoot (dates TBA)

• Flexibility to attend meetings virtually, with up to three days on set 

• Program length: approximately 2 to 3 weeks
  

The deadline to submit is June 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST. Selections will be made after reviewing applications and conducting interviews. Participants will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to ensure the confidentiality of proprietary materials.
