WIFVNE supports female and underrecognized voices in film through networking, mentorship, and education.
Join WIFVNE Member Erica Brookhyser as she leads this WIFVNE Networking Wednesday session. Let's lift each other up, share resources, put forth ideas, provide feedback, and make connections.
Many members are open to work, actively looking for freelance work, contemplating changing jobs, educating themselves, developing their passions, and planning for productions.
Everyone loves a good story. In fact, we in the film and video industry love it so much, we've made an art and science of story-telling using every manner possible. Whether you're a screenwriter exploring dialogue, a scene dresser working on visual impressions, or a composer trying to create the right mood, each of us has a way of adding our bit to a project's narrative. How we tell a story through the work we do is a fascinating aspect of what makes us the artists and technicians that we are. During this Networking Wednesday event, we'll explore how making human connections (aka networking) usually involves some version of story-telling. Your life is your story...and learning how to recount bits and pieces of it in a genuine and engaging way is a skill you can use to meet new people and forge lasting connections with others.
Join us Wednesday, May 19th at 10am ET and practice storytelling your own way with fellow WIFVNE members. Meet new people and share your stories with one another in pairs and small groups.
Prior to this event, WIFVNE recommends that members update their Member Profile in the Member Directory, so connections can become collaborators!
