NMWIF Presents: Partnering With Intimacy Coordinators On Set

Christine McHugh and Teresa Jones are the first two Intimacy Coordinators to have obtained certification working in the film and TV industry in New Mexico. Having completed a rigorous training process with LA based Intimacy Coordinator and Intimacy Professionals Association founder, Amanda Blumenthal.

They have signed with IPA and are ready to get to work helping to protect actors in scenes of intimacy, nudity or simulated sex through effective communication between actors and production in the realization of the director’s vision.

Christine and Teresa have created an orientation on the role of intimacy coordinator for producers, film commissions, university film programs, acting classes, and any group who can benefit from the use of an IC in learning about and implementing new safety protocols for the industry.
