Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival, takes place in the historic city of Providence as well as satellite locations throughout the state, these include Bristol, Narragansett, Jamestown, Bristol, Woonsocket, Barrington, East Providence, Tiverton. Cranston, Warwick and Westerly. RIIFF provides programming to children's hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and community youth organizations. The dynamic nature of Rhode Island offers excellent screening facilities, strong community support, and unlimited growth potential. Perhaps, one of the most unique elements of the Festival comes from its geographic location and cultural-heritage linkages.
Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival™ (RIIFF), takes place August 8-14, 2022. Screening more than 350 films and videos over seven days, the Festival will be a visual and auditory feast for film enthusiasts and moviegoers alike. And for our 40th year, the emphasis will be on producing the most memorable Festival we've ever created.
Due to the evolving and ongoing health constraints imposed by COVID-19, the 2022 RIIFF will be an expanded hybrid event with in-person and virtual screenings with social distancing at both indoor and outdoor locations.
